CBI-INV - Inventory Module

CBI-INV is designed to fill the void created by most ERP systems' inability to store dirty cores in its inventory system. It is available to license as an add-on module extension to the CBI-AR Acceptance functionality and as a front-end to the future CBI-AP module.

Site / Warehouse / Location Hierarchy

Supports the definition of the return sites, related warehouses, and warehouse storage location layout (location control) plus establishment of the appropriate available rules for each.

Pending Warehouse

This is the quantity of accepted cores awaiting put-away, related to the transacting acceptance site, maintaining complete detail of the from/to movement transactions. CBI-AR return authorization serial and entry of the actual unit serial numbers are available for down-stream credit resolution issues.

Bin / Container Control

This feature supports moveable storage locations and the ability to move all its contents in a single transaction. For instance, if multiple commodity cores within a group are stocked together and moved in mass, or trucks are being loaded for movement between locations or to a supplier, CBI-INV knows the detail of the Bin/Container contents and properly transacts all items at once.

Automatic Dirty-Core Update

Upon CBI-AR core acceptance, the accepted core(s) will be system transacted to the appropriate CBI-INV Pending Warehouse related to the core acceptance location.

Costing

Standard cost for the core with multiple values by cost code related to storage site. Costs can be entered at the core group level and default to group members, which can then have individual override costs as necessary.

The CBI-AR core potential supply query is expanded to include dirty core inventory for complete visibility.

This feature supports the inclusion of catalog images related to cores to aid in core identification.

Includes various inquiries and reports to value inventory at cost, credit price, and defects.

G/L Advisories

Contains cost detail of additions and withdrawals from inventory for reporting or import into the appropriate G/L accounts.

After the initial release, additional features will be added as enhancements, such as In-Transit Tracking, Core Surplus, and Sales/Scrap transactions and reporting.
