CMS Project Costing

Benefits

The Project Costing Module allows the user to define any set of activities as a project and then track all relevant costs.

Product Summary

The Project Costing module tracks project and/or production costs. A unique feature of the Project Costing module is the user-defined freeform designation of what constitutes a project. You may wish to track the costs and revenues generated as a result of participation in a trade show. Simply identify the show as a project and all costs and sales relative to that project can be tracked for you.

Once a project has been identified, costs can be allocated to it. Additionally, as in all other functions of CMS, complete detailed data is at your fingertips. By simply following menu prompts, up-to-date information is displayed. Immediate update allows you to chart your performance relative to budgets or estimates today, not after the project has been completed and closed.

Material commitments, direct labor, direct materials, and direct purchases details can be reviewed for the project. Due to unique independent file structures, there is no practical limit to the number of detail entries per project. Detailed descriptive information can be entered for each project, as well as proposed budget/estimate amounts.

Project Costing Features

Inventory can be issued to, or withdrawn from, a project. Material costs can be tagged with either a purchase order number or a lot number. Labor costs can be tagged with employee number, work station, and date. Sales revenues are tagged with invoice number and customer purchase order number.

The Project Costing module automatically collects labor, direct material withdrawal, direct purchase, and sales information from other CMS modules. This module provides perpetually expandable accordion files with no practical size limitation and allows a detailed purge under user control. The Project Costing module is applicable to any project.
