CMS Standard Cost

Benefits

CMS captures actual and last cost in the Inventory Control module. The Standard Cost module provides a method of establishing multiple standard cost sets for variance reporting against detailed purchasing, job, and manufacturing costs, The module provides critical information to management for pricing, production, and product sourcing decisions by pinpointing efficiency and cost variances.

Product Summary

CMS Standard Cost allows you to establish a standard cost set for a specific bill of material/workcenter route combination. You can establish labor class standards, and workcenter standards by activity code. Value added analysis is available, as well as the traditional standard cost calculations. Automatic roll-up of cost changes to all higher levels is provided under user-defined roll-up mapping. Value added analysis can occur by step or can be cumulative for each step of a route.

Production Cost Management Features

Multiple standard cost sets can be established and are fully user-controlled. Up to 12 distinct cost elements can be identified for each cost set, and the number and identification of each element or bucket can be unique to each cost set. As a result, multiple overhead elements, outside processing, or any other elements you desire to capture distinctly can be supported. Fold-in and roll-up mapping of individual cost elements is under user control.

A value added matrix at each level of the Bill of Material or formula shows cost elements added at that level, separate from those contributed by lower level materials and production routings.

You decide the level of detail supporting each cost element. Detail can support either fixed or variable values and multiple details can be associated with a single cost bucket or element.

User-definable text can be associated at the cost set and part level.
